Soulmates Foundation is a non-profit organization which was founded in the year 2013. Our goal is to educate the underprivileged children assisting them to follow their dreams, making them independent and helping them to come out in flying colours.
We believe that every child deserves the best chance for a bright future and that’s why we are fiercely committed towards ensuring that children not only survive, but thrive. Education is a gift to mankind. We help children unlock their potential and realize their dreams. Soulmates believe that every child is extraordinary and can scale great heights if provided with the right learning opportunities. With regular and generous contributions from our supporters, we are able to march steadily towards achieving these goals. So far we have spread awareness about education to more than 10,000 students in Chennai.
Soulmates Foundation’s focus is to provide an encouraging educational experience by promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development to children. Apart from this, we have empowered women and girls from poor and marginalized communities by conducting various special skills and learning programs that has created tremendous impact in the betterment of their livelihoods. More than 350 women have been groomed personally, transforming them from home makers to entrepreneurs by mentoring them to enhance their skills.
Through our initiatives ensure that special women enhance their economic status, dignity and decision making skills within their families.
One of our initiatives titled ‘Red Butterfly Movement’ (RBM) is focused on spreading awareness and educating children in the most vulnerable age groups/situation about physical assault and sexual abuse of children. Our aim is to educate children in the age group 4 to 17 through visuals and interactive sessions. The campaign covers both normal and special schools, residential associations etc. We also conduct education sessions for parents, teachers and school staff.
